The Women of Lockerbie
In the aftermath of the December 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Scotland, a mother from New Jersey roams the hills of Lockerbie looking for her son’s lost remains in the wreckage. She meets the women of Lockerbie, who are fighting the United States government to obtain the clothing of the victims found in the plane’s wreckage. Determined to convert an act of hatred into an act of love, the women want to wash the clothes of the dead and return them to the victim’s families. In the spirit of the women of Lockerbie, this production is dedicated to everyone affected by the 2015 San Bernardino, CA and 2016 Orlando, FL attacks – and to all who confront hatred with love.
